The position of the Balkan people to their own destiny seems strange and shrouded in silence. Only now (do) they understand that in the antiquity the Rhodopes and Strandja-Sakar were European Klondike? That Thrace is the most fertile plane in the whole Europe? And why they still ask themselves: do we call a flood the cataclysm that turned their mythic lake into the Black Sea, destroying the oldest civilization in the world? We sit amidst an ocean of artifacts, but are silent on the issue whose they are, who created them? The Balkan history is impressive. In it there were unique cultures and leading the rest world development. A first civilization in the world has interrupted by a terrible tragedy, which have buried it suddenly, as if it was stolen. The archaeologists are puzzled over what has happened at the beginning of the Bronze Age, when the brilliant prehistoric Balkan cultures suddenly have fallen. What has happened?
The science is bifurcated between two main hypotheses:
Towards the end of the "Karanovo" chalcolithic - around 3500 BC (?!), from the north in the Balkans invaded horsemen, bearers of "the bronze technology" and massacred almost to the foot local population. They had occupied local settlements and upon them had settled so-called "Early Bronze Culture"?! Details on this hypothesis divide the opinions - according to some immediately after the invasion, the invaders had settled in the old settlements, but according to others whose evidence seems to be more, there is an interruption (hiatus) and Thrace in the subsequent between 500 to 800 years, was turned into a desert! ?
The other hypothesis:
Around 5500 BC, in what was then freshwater lake it had occurred a Flood, which had turned it into the today"s Black Sea. The resettlement, which the cataclysm inevitably has caused, has brought to the Balkans ... the Neolithic culture?! But the archaeological record does not seem to confirm this hypothesis: it"s the time of the "Karanovo" Late Neolithic, one proven local culture, emerged and developed only in Thrace, from where is also spread. It originates from stereotyped rich manifestations here of early and middle Neolithic, which continuously are going down to it. Something more, there is a significant difference between the autochthonous quality of developed only in Thrace form of Late Neolithic and the previous Neolithic phases. The latter have synchronous, even earlier parallels in the world.
This stultifies main claim that the Flood has caused the birth and development for thousands of years (how many - they do not specify) of the first agricultural-pastoral culture, that started the Neolithization of humanity!? What actually has happened?
